Bicycle Safety and Security:

State laws and/or City Ordinances require that bicyclists: Always ride on the right side of the road; use hand turn signals and obey all traffic laws. Never ride your bicycle on the wrong side of the roadway, into the lane of oncoming traffic. Bicyclists should ride on the right-hand side of the roadway, just like cars. Also, never ride at night without a headlight and reflector. And, never ride a bicycle on the street or sidewalk of the courthouse square in Marshall. (Lafayette to Arrow to Jefferson to North streets). If you need to go around the square or across the square on a bicycle, get off and walk it. You should license and register your bike with the Marshall Police Department. If police find a registered bike they can return it to the owner. There is no cost to register your bike with the Marshall Police.

Dogs and Cats:

Marshall has a leash law for dogs. Dogs and cats over 6 months old must be licensed. The license is free and may be obtained at the police dept. upon showing proof of rabies vaccination.
