Trash Pick Up & Recycling Information
Hours of operation: The Compost Area is open to Marshall Residents. The first Saturday of each month, the City will load compost free of charge 7 am to 12 noon, March through November. SANITATION
DEPARTMENT 660-886-3945 Hours of operation: Please help us with your solid waste and recyclable collections by following the guidelines listed below: Strong winds, neighborhood pets and scavengers will sometimes scatter
trash if is not prepared properly by each household. To prevent
trash from being scattered, we recommend you tie off each bag securely,
not let pets run loose, double wrap food scraps to prevent odors from
attracting animals, and place curbside only on collection day. The
City requests that receptacles not be left out at curb on days other
than their designated collection day. For ease of correct identification of pickup please leave at least 10’ of space between trash and recyclables. Collection days are as follows:
On major holidays (New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas) the collection days may change. Please check your newspaper, radio or this website for changes in routes. All other holidays will remain on regular scheduled routes. Every effort should be made to keep all trash and recyclables dry. Wet paper cannot be recycled and wet trash is heavier and costs more for landfill disposal.
